BEPA French market entry plan  

BEPA partnered with Engagement Lab to develop a French market entry plan focused on the renewables sector. The project included qualitative interviews, market research, and strategic positioning, resulting in a comprehensive roadmap and actionable activities for 2024-2025. The plan enhanced BEPA's commercial strategy and engagement with new clients in France.

  • Since its inception in 2020, BEPA has seen rapid growth - going from 3 to 70+ employees in only 4 years. The company offers long-term value for their clients’ R&D departments as an integrated entity delivering engineering expertise, with clients in markets such as the Nordics, UK, Holland and Germany.  

    In 2024, BEPA wanted to enter the French market and to help grow their company, they received export funding. They hired Engagement Lab to provide a structured market entry plan for France and to create a foundation for improved commercial engagements with existing and new clients.

  • • Qualitative interviews: To enable a wider understanding of the company, its commercial offerings and positioning, Engagement Lab conducted multiple interviews with both employees and customers. These conversations, subsequently coded and analysed, gave us the opportunity to explore perception gaps as well as understanding customer expectations toward BEPA and their partnership. Based on these internal and external insights, we conducted an audit of their current positioning toward clients and new employees.  

    • Market research: In parallel to the qualitative interviews, we conducted market research on the French renewables market. This research included current and future policy frameworks, renewable energy projects, potential competitors and customers as well as how to set up a business entity in France. 

    • Strategic focus: Based on intelligence gathered from the interviews and market research, we developed a foundation for BEPA’s future commercial positioning and created a roadmap with clear activities on how to engage relevant stakeholders in the French renewables market and how to start a business in France. 

    • Delivery of a market analysis report, including insights into the French renewable energy market, competitors, potential clients and market activities 

    • Delivery of a thorough commercial positioning platform for BEPA including company narrative, value proposition, message house and proof points for various stakeholder groups 

    • Delivery of a French market entry plan, including recommended activities and timeline for 2024 and 2025

  • As part of the continuous development of BEPA A/S we were in a situation where we needed a structured plan for entry into new markets.
